LedgerLine Australia (ABN 19 976 454 312), referred to as “we”, “us” and “our”, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website and to the products we sell. We handle your personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

The information we collect

We only collect what we need to sell you a product and support you:

  • Your name and email address, so we can deliver your files, send your receipt, and answer your questions.
  • Purchase details, such as which product you bought, the amount, and the date.
  • Limited technical information your browser provides, such as your IP address (which gives an approximate location), your device and browser type, and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site working and secure, and to understand how it is used.
  • If you contact us, the content of your message.

We do not collect or store your card details. Card payments are processed by Stripe on their own secure systems. We receive only confirmation of payment and limited details such as the name on the order and the last few digits of the card.

We do not knowingly collect information from children. Our products are made for business use.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep the site working and secure and cannot be switched off. You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.

How we use your information

  • To deliver your purchased files and send your receipt.
  • To provide support and respond to your messages.
  • To send the free annual ATO rate update, but only if you sign up for it.
  • To keep the website secure and to improve it.
  • To meet our tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations under Australian law.

Marketing and the annual update email

If you sign up for the free annual ATO rate update, we will email you about rate changes each year. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or by emailing us. We will not add you to this list without your consent, and we will not use your email address for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that make the shop work, and only as far as needed:

  • Stripe, to process your payment securely.
  • Resend, to send your receipt and your download link.
  • Netlify, which hosts the website and stores your download files for delivery.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for third party advertising.

Overseas storage and disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia. For example, Stripe and our email and file hosting providers may handle data in the United States, Ireland, or other countries where they operate. Where personal information is sent overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in line with this policy and with Australian privacy law. By purchasing from us or signing up to our update list, you consent to this overseas handling.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We use reputable providers, limit who can access your information, and keep all card processing with Stripe so we never hold your card details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will act in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, including notifying you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where required.

How long we keep it

We keep purchase, payment and tax records for as long as Australian tax law requires, generally at least five years. We keep your email address on the annual update list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. When we no longer need information and are not required to keep it, we delete or de-identify it.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you,
  • correct it if it is wrong, or
  • delete it where we are not required by law to keep it.

Email us and we will help, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. There is no charge to make a request.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please email us first so we can try to put it right. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its date, will always be on this page.
